SOCEPP CALLS FOR CONCERTED ACTION TO HAVE
HASSAN ALI PROSECUTED FOR MASSMURDER
Hassan Ali, the leader of the OPDO and longtime ally of the ruling EPRDF,has asked for political asylum in the USA. Hassan Ali is responsible for the murder of thousands of Amharas in the Arabgugu area of Arsi. Hassan Ali is a criminal who should be tried for mass murder or massacre. The USA government should be asked to deny him asylum and cooperate in the effort to have this criminal brought before a court of law. Hassan Ali is claiming that he was a victim of the EPRDF which, according to him, tried to kill him twice. But this is irrelevant since there is ample proof that he played a major and direct role in the massacre of Amaharapeasants specially in the Arsi region. The USA should be made aware that it cannot give safe haven to mass murderers like Hassan Ali.
SOCEPP would like to launch a legal campaign against Hassan Ali so that he is duly prosecuted as a mass murderer of thousands of innocent Amaras.
